Planting Seeds for the Future of Food II 

Nestle Corporation held an interactive event on July 6 and 7, 2017 in Vevey, Switzerland with industry and academia representatives, scientists, business leaders, civil society representatives and Nestlé experts from around the globe to envision and inspire future trends and opportunities. Nestle's aim is to enhance awareness of how they can shape the future of food, and make a lasting impact for generations to come. This meeting emphasized the exchange of ideas and thoughts with leading stakeholders with a goal of identifying collaborative synergies and gaining insight into breakthrough technologies and solutions.  UC Davis Professor Douglas Cook gave the first day plenary talk with Maurice Moloney of the Global Institute for Food Security titled, "Plant Breeding of the Future".
